[Hunt] Peace On Earth Hunt 4

Peace on Earth Hunt, organized by Sequoia Nightfire, started yesterday its 4th edition! It's one of the biggest and most famous hunts in Second Life. The brands involved are more than 200 and the item you're looking for is a globe. Usually POE designers are not mean and the globes rather easy to find. You may also find on the ground some white doves that point you the right path.

Due to RL and technical issues, it's getting harder and harder to me taking more than a pic per post, so please be patient and I'll try to do my best.

[Hunt] Diamond Is Mine Hunt 3

Some beautiful hunts are running these days! I don't have enough time for complete overviews, so as usual I'll show you my favourite prizes. 

Diamond Is Mine Hunt comes to its third edition! It's organized by Sophistishapes, it lasts since November 18th till December 18th and involves 90 brands! You can find slurs, hints and pictures of all the prizes on the official blog.

Another prize I absolutely recommend is the one from AKEYO: the store offers 3 unreleased dance animations together with their amazing AO hud. I totally fell in love with this hud: it doesn't need any configuration, you just rezz it and add your animations, it will recognize them itself! No need to touch any notecard! And if it ever couldn't recognize the animation, a menu will ask you where do you want to place it. I have always wanted to create an original AO but my laziness prevented me to do so thinking to the huge notecard job... but now it's way easier! Furthermore, the hud has a dance option, where you can store and access your dances! Thank you AKEYO!

Hair Fair, New Stuff, Deals and Freebies, Viewer Talks and Random Nonsenses

My experiments and I are back! I gathered so much stuff in the past days that I will never be able to blog everything...events, new releases, special deals, gifts, things on Second Life run too fast! It took me a week to put together all this, so *Imperio* read! 

New releases a cute ensemble from The Sea Hole and exclusive releases at Hair Fair 2011 from AOHARU and Wasabi Pills (remember that when you buy something at Hair Fair, part of the proceeds goes to the charity organization Wigs For Kids) Also, an amazing retro pair of shoes from Donna Flora, that is not new but I totally love it, and a free outfit from The Sea Hole. 

Top & Skirt: The Sea Hole - Annis Top, (barley Sheer) mauve & Smocked Skirt - Coral - they are sold separatedly, they're available as an ensemble in the same color or you can mix and match among the offered colors as I did. The top comes in 2 versions, barely transparent and very transparent, and the skirt comes upper lace and lower lace versions. 103L + 117L.

Since I logged in on Firestorm to try the new copy-to-clipboard-worn-stuff feature, at this point I decided to try shadows again. They are still unsupported, as the viewer itself warns us when enabling them, but I'm stubborn...and I managed to take this close up to show you better the lovely hairstyle...

...but then I dared too much...I knew it was better not to move my camera with shadows enabled, but I did it anyway. I took the pic, hit on save...and crashed! I was lucky enough to get this closeup on the shoes. The windlight setting I had on for the headshot messes up a bit the skin matching but I swear it was very good!! I worked a lot on that and I was very pround, but I didn't feel brave enough to try again... So I disabled shadows and relogged to take the rest of the pics!

This sculpt has been around for a while and since I'm a fan of the flat sandals, a bit neglected in favor of heels, I tried some of them even though I'm not crazy for the sculpt itself. This is the best achievement I have seen so far, it comes with a hud for skin, nails and toe ring (quite easy to use) and it's part of the Sixty Lindens Weekend.

Bohemian Souls - Part I

I suppose it's rather evident I have a weakness for everything that looks even just a bit boho or hippie. So I decided to share some of my insanity with you today, keeping in mind everyone's budget too!

After seeing the post by Fauna, I had to get my Mist dress from VERO MODERO.
The one I picked is called Africa, bringing the flavour and the awesome colours of that land. 350L.

There are also cheaper ways to go in boho mood. GField sent to their group the cute Puff-sleeve Top & Maxi Skirt, a sample of their new release (no group tag needed). I matched it with the cute and totally free Classic Flats in Gold from Baby Monkey @ The Free Dove, that are available in other colours and together with the Classic Pumps.

Xmas All Around

Awww ok I must confess I'm starting to feel the Christmas mood, lol. In my country, tomorrow is the day when one should put out and decorate his Christmas tree, stores are open all day long, little Christmas markets are showing all around. I like Christmas not as a religious nor a consumer feast, but as a moment you should spend together with the people you care most, without stressing about stupid presents and just enjoying the time we can offer to others. Tribal Soul released a brand new skin called Lorena. I'm wearing the Fair shade, together with the All Body Extra Freckles (tattoo layer). Many make up options are available, as well as freckles and age marks tattoo layers.

Talking About Eyes and Freebies

Eyes are not very expensive in SL: one can find something good under 100L, sometimes even under 50L. The main problem I have when I try to buy eyes is the lack of demos, not all stores provide them (I suppose for copybot reasons), and often the effect of eyes changes a lot from an avi to another one, making you unhappy with your purchase.
One reason for which I appreciate a lot stores that offers free items is that it's a good way to have a hint of the designer skills and tastes, and when I find a freebie I like, I always go back to that store and buy their full price products.
