[Hunt] Peace On Earth Hunt 4

Peace on Earth Hunt, organized by Sequoia Nightfire, started yesterday its 4th edition! It's one of the biggest and most famous hunts in Second Life. The brands involved are more than 200 and the item you're looking for is a globe. Usually POE designers are not mean and the globes rather easy to find. You may also find on the ground some white doves that point you the right path.

Al Vulo!, Severed Garden

Today I'm featuring Italian designers, the talented Berta Avro & Bubi Bolissima of Severed Garden and Hlin Bluebird of Al Vulo!, whose creations are great samples of quality and originality. 

Dana outfit from Severed Garden is perfect for winter times, it comes with accessories and boots, and also with a cute frost breath maker worn on the mouth that produces a frost cloud! How cute is that? 

It is available in various shades (shown in olive here) and boots are also sold separately if you want other color options.

A note on the pose: it's a recent release from Diesel Works, from the Shyla pack, including 11 beautiful and kinda dramatic poses, perfect for your artistic shots.

Giulia is the newest face from Al Vulo! Already available in the tan tone (and a special make up, blogged here, is the prize of the DIMH 3), it was released yesterday in the porcelain tone.
It comes in several make ups and each in many options: plain, cleavage, freckles, teeth, and eyebrows in different colors on tattoo layer are also provided. I really love teeth on Giulia, they are very nice and soft, not giving the "scary rabbit" look that sometimes comes out when wearing this kind of skin.

Here are my favourite make ups, showing the plain version on the left (no teeth on first row, with teeth on second row) and the freckled version on the right (same as before).
Pictures are not postprocessed at all and shot using the "Nam's optimal skin 2" windlight sky.

Bohemian Souls - Part I

I suppose it's rather evident I have a weakness for everything that looks even just a bit boho or hippie. So I decided to share some of my insanity with you today, keeping in mind everyone's budget too!

After seeing the post by Fauna, I had to get my Mist dress from VERO MODERO.
The one I picked is called Africa, bringing the flavour and the awesome colours of that land. 350L.

There are also cheaper ways to go in boho mood. GField sent to their group the cute Puff-sleeve Top & Maxi Skirt, a sample of their new release (no group tag needed). I matched it with the cute and totally free Classic Flats in Gold from Baby Monkey @ The Free Dove, that are available in other colours and together with the Classic Pumps.

Culture Shock 2011 - Spend your money for a cause!

Culture Shock 2011 is an event organized by CHIC Management with more than 150 stores involved!
Each store has 3 donation items, set to 100% or 50%, and their proceeds will go to the independent humanitarian and medical organization Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières).

Like in all the charity events, since I enjoy more spending money when it's for a cause, my entry is focused on donation items.

Unfortunately, during the bloggers opening day, many stores hadn't set up their spot yet, so I couldn't check what they are offering and lag will prevent me to do it for a while.

Sn@tch is a store that is well known mainly for goth, urban and alternative clothings. But Ivey Deschanel is a talented and eclectic designer, she masters perfectly many styles, including some of my favourites, like hippie, boho and vintage. Furthermore, her prices are more than generous: items are sold in fatpacks only, the average price is 250L. A neverending sale!

Fantasy Faire 2011 part 1 + Hunt

Fantasy Faire 2011 is an event obviously dedicated to the world of roleplay, mainly fantasy in all its sides, but also to dark, goth, even Gor.

"From Saturday April 2nd to Sunday April 10th 2011, thousands of Second Life residents and creators are coming together to support the American Cancer Society's vision of a world without cancer. Friends Fighting Cancer (FFC) have transformed nine sims of Second Life into a fantasy wonderland: the Fantasy Faire 2011 to benefit Relay for Life of Second Life (RFL of SL)."

If you love fantasy as I do, you can't miss the chance to get some awesome outfits (but also pieces of building and furnitures!) and at the same time donating your money for a cause that touches us all.

Project FUR Japan

I have two cats, Merlin and Madam Mim (yes, like the Sword in the Stone characters).
I live in a big city, and during my childhood I had never had any animal. So, when my family decided to adopt a kitten, I was confused and I wasn't sure about my feelings. I said okay, but I don't want him to jump on my bed and such things.
Now, Merlin sleeps with me, purring all the time. And sometimes, when she doesn't sleep in my mother's room, Madam Mim joins him laying on my pillow, just above my head.

This is just a very small sample about how a furry ball can change your life. And that is why I couldn't overlook an event dedicated to them.

Project FUR Japan is a fund raiser for the animals that lost their human friends during the tragic earthquake and tsunami. You will find all the technical info, including the first receipt of the donation, on the official blog. I will share only this video, that touched half world...I had already watched it before the news of the SL event reached me. See how loyal and caring our furry friends can be.

Happy Birthday Italy & Pacific Crisis Fundraiser

Today Italy celebrates the 150th anniversary of its unification.

A famous Italian architect, Renzo Piano, recently said "we are dwarves on a giant's shoulders." and I totally agree with him. We must be proud of our art, language and our culture, but those giants are dead. Now we have to deal daily with all the dwarves who are making Italy the tail ender of Europe. These vulgar, close-minded and rude dwarves are showing a distorted reality to the rest of the world. We are not like them. Believe me.

There are also some dwarves who think they would be better if Italy wasn't united. You are anachronistic. In the Internet era, more than ever we are citizens of the world, and so we should feel. Don't go back to Middle Age and grow up.

Olela, one of the most famous Italian bloggers, shared with us a great video that unfortunately is not subbed in English (it's something we should do, sharing the few giants left we have with the rest of the world) and pointed an Italian pride gift offered by an Italian designer. Check it out and if you have ever heard about Dante Alighieri, watched "Life is beautiful" or just eaten pizza or Nutella, think of us and celebrate too.



I won't forget, as I was saying earlier, we are citizens of the world.
At the other side of the world, an awful disaster occurred, or better is still occurring. Once again Second Life community is showing its support.
Japan is a country very dear to me, I am in love with Japanese culture to the point I made it my major at university. Even though, as someone said, Japan is a rich nation, those who suffer, die or lose people they love, deserve our solidariety, no matter where are they from and what is the reason.
Thank you very much to the organizers and the designers who are offering their produts as donations at the Pacific Crisis Fundraiser.

Roleplay and More - { SeVered GarDeN }

I am finally recovering from the horrible temperature that struck me in bed in the last days, and today I want to feature a brand that in my opinion deserves more attention: { SeVered GarDeN }, owned by Berta Avro and Bubi Bolissima.
Their beautiful works are focused mainly on the Gorean and fantasy worlds, even though lately they have started to consider mainstream fashion too, with lots of good results and responses from their clients. Last but not least, their price are very affordable, a great reason to get an awesome look without spending too much!

When I talked to Berta the first time, she told me she loves designing clothings in general, but that roleplay outfits are what allows her to unwild her imagination and that makes her happy the most, which is mainly what the same kind of thoughts I have when it's time to blog! That is why I'll show you today, together with her latest mainstream releases, some hints of her way to portray Gorean female roles.

Gorean Grid Wide Hunt - My choice

The Gorean Grid Wide Hunt is the most famous hunt related to the world of Gor and its fashion, but not only: you will also find many pieces of furnitures and accessories useful for your roleplay, so it's worth a look in this field too.
My focus is fashion, of course, and despite my clear preference for the free people clothings, I tried to be fair and showed my favourite prizes among the slavewear too.
