Hair Fair, New Stuff, Deals and Freebies, Viewer Talks and Random Nonsenses

My experiments and I are back! I gathered so much stuff in the past days that I will never be able to blog everything...events, new releases, special deals, gifts, things on Second Life run too fast! It took me a week to put together all this, so *Imperio* read! 

New releases a cute ensemble from The Sea Hole and exclusive releases at Hair Fair 2011 from AOHARU and Wasabi Pills (remember that when you buy something at Hair Fair, part of the proceeds goes to the charity organization Wigs For Kids) Also, an amazing retro pair of shoes from Donna Flora, that is not new but I totally love it, and a free outfit from The Sea Hole. 

Top & Skirt: The Sea Hole - Annis Top, (barley Sheer) mauve & Smocked Skirt - Coral - they are sold separatedly, they're available as an ensemble in the same color or you can mix and match among the offered colors as I did. The top comes in 2 versions, barely transparent and very transparent, and the skirt comes upper lace and lower lace versions. 103L + 117L.

Hair: AOHARU @ Hair Fair - Megan (espresso) - 220L (50% donation) 

Shoes: Donna Flora - Ilde Shoes (rose) - 350L

Since I logged in on Firestorm to try the new copy-to-clipboard-worn-stuff feature, at this point I decided to try shadows again. They are still unsupported, as the viewer itself warns us when enabling them, but I'm stubborn...and I managed to take this close up to show you better the lovely hairstyle...

...but then I dared too much...I knew it was better not to move my camera with shadows enabled, but I did it anyway. I took the pic, hit on save...and crashed! I was lucky enough to get this closeup on the shoes. The windlight setting I had on for the headshot messes up a bit the skin matching but I swear it was very good!! I worked a lot on that and I was very pround, but I didn't feel brave enough to try again... So I disabled shadows and relogged to take the rest of the pics!

Sandals: KIWI - Zimra Flat Sandal Black - 60L. This sculpt has been around for a while and since I'm a fan of the flat sandals, a bit neglected in favor of heels, I tried some of them even though I'm not crazy for the sculpt itself. This is the best achievement I have seen so far, it comes with a hud for skin, nails and toe ring (quite easy to use) and it's part of the Sixty Lindens Weekend.

Today I want to share with you two beautiful skins I got the chance to examine lately.
According to my taste, they are showing in fair shades, but darker tones are available as well.

The pictures are not photoshopped besides the obvious crop and paste and some softening of the edges. Taken with the windlight setting "Nam's Optimal Skin 1".

CHIC Limited Event - April [ Part 1 ]

CHIC Limited is a monthly event brought to you by Keira Seerose, CHIC Management.

It is a small venue containing 30 brands (or less) per cycle.

Each cycle has a theme for designers to be inspired by,

but they can interpret the prompt as loosely or closely as they choose.

 CHIC Limited was created to offer a much asked for alternative to the current sales culture.

Many designers felt they were unable to opt out of sales groups,

hunts and events because they could not compete without the level of publicity they gave them.

CHIC Limited is using the generated reputation of working with high quality brands to offer brands

an opportunity to get the publicity of an event, without having to reduce their prices.

This session opened April 16th and will close April 30th.

The theme is “Cherry Blossoms“.
